The water supplying of the city of Salvador comes from far away from the city, from the artificial lake made by a dam at the ParaguassĂș river. The quality of the water is good but however there is still a lot of improvements to do in our services, the water is yet not drinkible because of high levels of fluoride. ![Aerial view from the water station of the city of Salvador in Brazil.][1] ![Aerial view from the city of Salvador in brazil][2] b. Regulating services Waste-water treatment is the biggest problem in my city, that has a lot of beaches, but yet dump all the thrash in the rivers there pass through the city and end up exactly at the sea. ![A pollueted river that pass through my city, at Rio Vermelho, Salvador.][3] c. Habitat or Supporting services Even being a very "green" country by the existence of the biggest rain forest of the world in our territory, we still have lots a difficultes to handle correctly our enviroment. Be being a country in development the interests of the goverments are always in growing the country economicly and yet without caring of our ecosystem. Recently we had a big disaster of a dam that has collapsed and has destroyed almost entire cities, where there were heavy chemical industry, and now the river is dead. We still have a lot of improviments to make ourselves comfortable in how we handle habitats and genetic variety. Other exemple of that typo of event happened in the same month was a big fire in one of the most important natural parks of our country, named Chapada Diamantina. In both cases there is the hipothesis of that some species of animals and plants were simply gone along with human lives. ![The Guardian UK - Brazil's slow-motion environmental catastrophe unfolds. Cultural services Cultural services like recreation and mental and physical health are very important in our city, yet the small existence of parks in city is a problem. You can see public workout equipment throughout almost all the areas of the city. ![Simple public workout equipment in the city of Salvador with poor maintenence][6] [1]: http://www.jornalgrandebahia.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Vista-a%C3%A9rea-da-Esta%C3%A7%C3%A3o-de-capta%C3%A7%C3%A3o-de-%C3%A1gua-da-EMBASA-no-lago-de-Pedra-do-Cavalo.jpg [2]: http://www.estadosecapitaisdobrasil.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/vista-aerea-salvador-bahia.jpg [3]: http://futurodaagua.atarde.uol.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/081023_Rio-Vermelho_Polui%C3%A7%C3%A3o-10-of-67-1024x685.jpg [4]: https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/2576cd61d3da42edb7062343fce2b1670fa50089/0_0_3500_2103/master/3500.jpg?w=1125&q=85&auto=format&sharp=10&s=edfacd5f1277054efcfa94e507bf1764 [5]: http://i1.wp.com/braziltripspecialist.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Severe-forest-fire-in-Chapada-Diamantina.jpg?resize=1265,843 [6]: http://fw.atarde.uol.com.br/2012/09/650x375_1278694.jpg
