1. While working at an engineering firm Arup in London, I was involved in a project with Transport for London to collect visions and ideas from a pool of their customers to produce a future vision for the capital's transport network which would guide their decision making, business planning and bring the infrastructure of the city in line with emerging local and global trends. This was called Transported by Design and required a collaborative and interdisciplinary design team from Arup and Transport for London which included architects, planners, public consultation experts, and economists to put together a series of questions and prompt cards and ideas to stimulate their users to respond to emerging challenges and come up with a series of challenges and suggestions they face on a daily basis. Spending an entire day in a tent on one of the main streets in London, these findings where then live-scribed into an illustration along the whole of the day which became part of the future vision and includes a series of very wild ideas from children to practical solutions and concerns from many citizens. Combining this with information data helps to create a more hollistic future development plan.
