Istanbul is the city where I studied, and a big city both in terms of area and population. Of course, the main core of the city and its economically central region (historical peninsula and over Büyükdere) is the most intense and active area, but the city peripheries also manage to rapidly enter this density. Although the excess stock and flow over the city center makes it difficult to determine the stocks and flows, it is much easier to determine the flow and stock elements of the concentrated regions on the city periphery. As seen in the photo, new construction projects rising from agricultural fields are being buried in these areas. Urban land as stock, investments as flow, new population and food, water and energy flows for the needs of this population can be given as examples. The stock of this area can again be considered as investments and capital. At the same time, existing new settlements provide new spaces for human movement and flow.
