3 main stocks and flows in my city are: people, gasoline and food. People: Caracas has a huge flow of people who come from the interior of the country due to the benefits that living in the capital implies, which the rest of the states do not have. The city's infrastructure is not equipped to handle such overcrowding. Striking a balance, improving the rest of the cities of the country, would help to de-centralize this city, thus avoiding its imminent collapse. Gasoline: Venezuela has one of the main oil reserves in the world, but production is almost nil. This results in a constant shortage of gasoline stocks throughout the country. The need for it is evident for people to carry out their daily activities, since Caracas was not designed for pedestrians. Designing more pedestrian-friendly cities, and reducing the need for cars, can ensure a better quality of life. Food: most of the food consumed in the country is imported, which represents a large flow. When it stops, food shortages plague the country and the dynamics of the city suffer. Increasing food production in the country, which is insufficient, is an important change that would represent a benefit in the future.
