(I) Stocks and flows of mud (earth) and straw in the city: The vastly available good quality mud from around the building have been used for construction of houses in traditional rural architecture and leftover straw from rural agriculture have been used for thatched roof. (II) Stocks and flows of the food in the city: The locally available source of food from farming, fishing and poultry used to be the daily choice of food. But with globalization a rising demand for international cuisine can be observed resulting into a large export and import of food. (II) Stocks and flows of water in the city: Lakes and ponds have always been a source drinking water, fishing etc. but with changing climate, many of these water reserves are drying up, thus affecting livelihood of many. 3. To battle the largely dominated outsourcing trends in construction or food supply, stakeholders and people of the city should focus more, relying on locally sourced building material such as mud and thatch, food obtained from local agricultural practices. To preserve drying water reserves rainwater harvesting should be practices seriously.
