My list: 1. Munich (where I live) 2. Vienna (visited several times) 3. Vancouver (appears always on lists) 4. Copenhagen (modern and sustainable) 5. Zurich (beautiful) common recognition: the cities, who rank among first are mostly no mega cities. Criteria: - economic (job opportunity and wealth) - Connectivity and mobility (air, land, sea, public transport) - Environment / nature (for recreation and holiday) - Security (crime rate, etc.) - Health (medical supply) Munich - economic (job opportunity): high cost of living and a magnet for capital investments due to excellent conditions for companies > jobs - Connectivity and mobility (air, land, sea): no harbour but the second biggest airport in Germany with a very good connectivity (travel where you want), mobility offer especially in public transport could be better and the sustainable mobility offer or measures at all - Environment / nature (for recreation and holiday): reachability for mountains (alps), forests and lakes are within two hours by car and in the city there is the park ‚Englischer Garten‘ which is one oft he biggest in the world - Security: very high security level and strict police - Health: best in class medical supply
