1. The Smart City project is an existing Citizen Design Science project in urban design and planning from India. Cities were required to submit proposals on how they are going to make their cities smart through citizen approved proposals and the selected winning cities received funding for the proposals. 2. I would start-up a Citizen Design Science project for this with a community meeting where in feedback on safety perceptions and a system of anonymous comments and voting for probable solutions could be implemented. 3.Mueller, J., Lu, H., Chirkin, A., Klein, B., & Schmitt, G. As learned from this, I would use User participation and community consultation as the starting points. This would be followed by Local Area Planning and participatory planning involving all possible stakeholders and further vetting and approval of proposals.
