In Bahrain , the UHI effect is clearly present due .It is evident that the areas of urban heat islands in the summer were larger than those in the winter. Many factors caused the UHI effect to appear . For example , dark asphalt pavements scattered without greenery in the sidewalks or , lack of vegetation , and the use of inappropriate finishing materials for the roofs. 3. If I could take part in the decision-making process of an initiative related to the UHI effect, the measures that you I would propose are : 1. Plant more trees and other vegetation. 2. Encourage citizens to use green ways of transportation ( e.g. use bicycles , public transportation ) 3. Increase the usage of sun panels. 4. Increase shade around houses. 4. In Bahrain , the UHI effect is somehow concerning policy making . There are some laws that concern the environment, but overall , in my experience , there are not much policies made to help reduce the UHI effect.
