Hi everyone, I am Lydia and I will descrive the most important stocks & flows for the city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. 1. Tourists: every year Amsterdam receives every year 19-20 millions of tourists, something that changes completely the image of the city and also affects a lot the housing market (due to Airbnb) but also the local economy 2.flowers: the Netherlands is the largest player on the flower export market with a share of 52-55% globally. The flower exports are a very important part of the national economy while the cultivation of the flower fields and greenhouses affects the environment, especially dut to the use of pesticides CO2 emissions. 3.bikes: one of the most evident stocks and flows visible in the city scale are bikes, since they take over a huge amount of Amsterdam's urban space, either in the form of bike parking but also as moving flows and occupancy of urban space in the form of infrastructures. In the future, there could be a more sustainable system of shared bikes that will allow them to be in a continuous flow in the city and not stocked in the urban space or parkings.
