I live 7 km from my work. I used to take the route number one because I don't own a car. I have to walk around 20 minutes to get to the bus station and there, a collective bus from my work pick us up and I spend about 40 minutes doing all the route, mine is the first one. The bus leaves us outside the main boulding so I still have to walk around 15 minutes. It is so much better when I get a ride from my friend, it just take us 15 minutes to get inside the building and my office.
