1. Done 2. The UHI effects on my place are the pollution from air conditioning and cooling equipments. The pollution from the vehicle exhaust also contributes to it. Another cause is deforestation. 3. Aforestation (to plant trees for future) will be the first initiative, creating man made Urban forests in the busy cities can bring in great changes to the UHI Levels. As in bringing forest will reduce the temperature level and also helps to absorb certain unwanted gases in the atmosphere, at the same time reduced temperature decreases the use of cooling equipments. 4.Even though it is not fully implanted, efforts are being made from the policy makers. Rainwater harvesting system, ground water recharge, urban farming etc is a few. Another step towards reducing UHI, is to have more open space with a building site, the building byelaw restricts the owner from covering, the land or open space around the building, with impermeable materials – which ensures proper water percolation, Moreover initiatives’ have been stated to rejuvenate the natural water channels of the place.
