Commenting on an existing Citizen Design Science project in urban design and planning from your area or country. New York City Recently put out a competition for updating the brooklyn bridge. The bridge is iconic and historical and attracts many visitors every single day. In addition to tourists visiting the brdige, many people use the bridge to commute into manhattan from brooklyn. This means that the bridge is used by pedestrians, bikers, and vehicles and it has recently become very over crowded with people - especially with concerns about the corona virus. Many of the contest entries feature bringing more nature to the bridge and limiting the amount of space for automobiles while giving more toward pedestrians, bikers, and public transportation. I think these entries are a great way to make the area more friendly to people, but there should still be a concentration on how the reduction of automobile lanes would impact daily commuters coming into the city.
