1. The dominant fossil fuels used in Italy are oil and natural gas. 2. After being processed in refineries and power stations, they are mainly used in transport and industry, with a relevant percentage being classified as "Other" though. 3. A tiny share of energy demand in Italy is already covered with renewable energy sources, but given the characteristics of parts of the country an increase in the exploitation of these technologogy would be advisable. PV technologies, wind turbines, geothermal systems and other renewable energy techonolgies are already in use but they can all be enhanced dependening on the features of the area. Incentives and tax deductions are already in place both in the public and the private sectors and a wider and wider range of population is getting aware of the advantages offered by these technologies, so I am pretty confident the thing will evolve in a positive way in the near future.
