1.Checked the temperature differences of US cities Las Vegas(7.3°F)being the highest contributor to the UHI where Seattle(4.1°F)being the lowest.It results,the increase of Urban Heat Island with-urbanization 2. Tellicherry city. I am living in a rural area having less pollution and comparatively good vegetation. Here, In my place of residence, mostly residences and vegetation predominate, with many trees and green spaces. Average temperature (rural):22°C In our daily life, we have to depend urban facilities and services. As far as the urban area concerned, there are uncountable numbers of vehicles. That is why itself the causing of rising of the heat. In our city a large land spaces are used for making roads. That also causes heat radiation. It is disheartening to note, there is no enough greenery in the command area of our city to overcome the high rate of heat. Average temperature (Urban):30°C 3.Initiate more streets greening (Planting of trees at the maximum area of the city) Promote public Conveyance system by restricting Private vehicles to the maximum extend Encourage Pedestrians Will create more mixed use areas 4.Measures like developing better public transport system were proposed to reduce pollution. It was initiated many years ago but still no actual results.
