The above represented picture is taken in AUROVILLE, PONDICHERRY, INDIA. I took this during my architecture internship program. Here it represents the LOCALIZED CONSTRUCTION using the ADOBE BRICKS as a building material. The material used here is the easily available and local raw material for the construction. Main reasons for that material selection: 1. EARTH as an source of construction' 2. understanding the material which has the LOCAL ENVIRONMENT PROPERTIES in its structure. HERE THE PERSON PROGRESSIVELY BUILDS THE CONSTRUCTION WHICH ENRICH THE SUSTAINABILITY IN ITS ASPECTS...... ADVANTAGES OF THE MATERIAL: 1. Here the ADOBE can be developed with the modern technologies and can be used in the constructional purposes like commercial, residential and various building constructions. 2.Incorporation of modern techniques is more easier in the earth material. SO, in my point of view earth material(adobe bricks) serves the good purpose of the structure with the extra-ordinary aspects of constructional activities.
