1.Dominant fossil fuels used in Brazil are oil products and Biofuels and Waste, respectively. 2.Dominant oil products mainly used for Transport and Industry. 3.Brazil for the geographical characteristics (tropical country with diversity climates) could implement more environmentally friendly energy systems in differents locals. In the in the northeast region I would extend the already existing solar power plants and wind power turbines along the whole coast and invest in the research in tidal power. I would make strict policies against deforestation in the Amazon and to maintain its hydrobiological cycle and the natural termical confort in the country. To decrease the energy demand in transport, I would implement a more sustainable system based on a rail system using electricity generated from renewable energies on the country scale. On the local scale I would invest in bike lanes and improve the public transport system and electricals vehicules. Brazil is a extensive territory, reinforce the decentralisation of the country as well as local production and consumption which would decrease transport of goods and people crossing the whole country. I would invest in the buildings and open and natural areas throughout the city to decrease the eletric demand (air conditioning) and encourage walkability.
