2. I live in Montreuil, France, Europe. Temperate area. I think here the difference is not so high due to the tipology of urban planning, based in 2 or 3 level housing with private gardens which contribute to the temperature regulation. the major problem with heat is in my opinion the traffic and high car dependance that increases pollution and heat. 3. Car regulation (more slow mobility-transportation planning items), improvement of green space network, maybe some water spaces, in order to decrease pollution. 4. I think there is no policies about this subject because it is not a major subject, the density of the city is quite low.
