For the Citizen Design Project I would invest in the context of Public Spaces. To enable sustainability and liveability in urban life, it´s imperative to have a collaborative planning that promotes inclusive public spaces. They are important areas of integration and connection of different users, functions and typologies of city fabric. Nowadays, the city is a living organism connected by realtime clusters of information generated by the inhabitants. This phenomenon is visible in public spaces, where users use different social networks to interact with friends and at the same, with the city. They provide important information about their cognitive behaviours regarding to spacial patterns and also time patterns while they are using public spaces. So, my project would focus on creating a mobile application promoted by the city council to optimize the perception and appropriation of the network of public spaces. The application could function like a interactive game that allowed users to score the different public spaces and at the same time to provide important information. For example, if the users share/post different clips of audio of a specific place along the day, it´s possible to analyze the impact of noise in that particular place. *This photo was downloaded from the internet.
