I live in Vijayawada City and will be writing about the same for the ecosystem services. 1. Provisioning Services: Most vegetables that are sold at the local Rhythu Bazaars(Farmers Markets) come from the plantations on the outskirts of the city. Also the River Krishna provide with seafood as well. 2. Regulating Services: Erosion Control. Being quite a hot place the vegetation does not seem to have much of a climate regulating effect mainly due to scarcity in the urban areas. 3. Supporting Services:Primary Productivity & Nutrient cycling 4. Cultural Services: India as a whole has great spiritual and cultural value for trees & plants especially certain species (Peepal, Neem, Tulsi etc.) Also recreation services as parks and gardens.
