The cities are Cardiff, Newcastle, London, Amman, Aqaba The main characteristics for livability of a city in my opinion are Friendly residence, Safety, Calmness, Climate, Low noise. My city (Baghdad) has very friendly people, they care about others especially in times of need, this give me social safety despite the current situation in the city even when compared to other cities I visited. In terms of calmness, the city is calm overall but still not as calm as cities like Amman or Aqaba, however being a big city with lots of people has its advantages. The climate is hot overall in summer but in winter the climate is very nice, noise level are low in my residential area, however there are some crowded residential areas which is very noisy and the business center is very noisy and crowd as well. In order for my city to be more sustainable, we need to improve the infrastructure and make some planning and urban design improvements for the city to better withstand the current situation and be more sustainable. New technologies should be implemented to overcome some obstacles and issues such as electrical grid and sustainable water systems...etc.
