Talking about the stocks and flows of the city Vienna, I would mention the three most important in my opinion. - Buildings and Infrstructure - Tourism - Knowledge Concerning the inhabitants of Vienna it is widely known that the number is growing. Due to this growing number, real estate investors and developers are building more and more new multy-family-buildings and also a few towers, additionally to the regularly newly built apartments in roof extensions. Therefore, the city government already planned a wide extension of the public transport system including new underground lines. Regarding tourism Vienna is a popular destination for city travelers. These tourists can be seen as the underlying "flow" that is essential for the "stock" of the whole touristic industry in Vienna. Also knowledge comes into discussion, Vienna can profile itself as one of the cities in Europe that can offer a wide range of universities and colleges that are distributing regularly new studies and surveys to contribute to the world wide knowledge. So this import and export of knowledge can be seen as a very important flow from the city Vienna.
