In the city where I live, Maceió, Don't there are clear plans for improving the urban design. Actual urban evolution It's guided by an agent, the Market. However, there are Federal laws that force city prefecture to enforce public participation but only on major interventions. Maceió Needs to evolve in ways of dealing with urban development. Against what was seen in lectures, the first step to implant "citizen design science" should be to create tools to collect city data, and one of them information should be citizen opinion about the city. With the popularization of the internet, It's possible to create digital tools to collect this information such help the public administration planning better the city. Few Brazilian cities have this tool type and when exists it focuses on vehicle traffic, however, better channels for public participation could transform the city.
