2) I think that this is not such a problem in cities in Slovenia. The largest city in Slovenia, Ljubljana has just under 300k inhabitants. Of course the problem is notable but I think it's not as severe as it could be. Ljubljana is supposed to be the greenest capital in Europe, which definitely helps in this matter. I would add some more greenery in the city centre and this is pretty much all that could be added without disturbing old city-centres charm and identity. 4) The current focus point on this is removing the traffic from inner city centres.
