This image is a typical example that shows the activity of materials-globalized economy. It shows a housing building (villa) with various use of construction materials that were imported from other global countries. The building was constructed by the preferred construction method which is steel reinforced concrete. Then, it was developed with the addition of brick and marble materials. Steel, concrete, bricks, and marble are globalized materials with different countries of origin and mostly imported to Saudi Arabia. Brick, for example, can be imported from India or China. Furthermore, marble can be imported from Spain. This indicates to the connection between the image and the country of origin of each material in particular, where globalized materials can be embedded in localized structures.
