Beverly Top Livability Criteria: 1. Culture, 2. Transportation, 3. Environment, 4. Recreation Possibilities, 5. Health Care 1. Beverly has a strong arts and culture backbone. Downtown is rife with retail, including a 100-year old theatre still in operation. As Beverly was incorporated in 1668, there are many historic sites and museums. 2. Working in Cambridge, MA, I rely heavily on access to transportation. There are many local bus stops that run frequently to/from downtown and to the commuter rail station, running directly into Boston. It is also close to nearby highways, offering easy access for car travel. 3 & 4. Beverly is a coastal town, with fresh sea air and ample green space nearby. Along with several miles of beaches, there are plenty of parks, trails, and running/walking paths in close proximity. Featured image is Lynch Park, a public facility with beaches, playgrounds, volleyball, rose gardens, and open greenspace. 5. Beverly Hospital is part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, a notable academic teaching hospital. With culture prioritized, Beverly scores a 63 index score (+11 from 52). As Mayor, I would ensure transit stations offered basic amenities and shelter. Would move: San Diego, for community. Auckland or Adelaide for QOL.
