Top 5 criteria for a liveable city: Political Stability Job Opportunities Health Care Safety Transportation Sanitation Standards I live in Melbourne, Australia at the moment. One of the reasons I am here because it is a country that is ranked highly as one of the “Most lovable cities in the world’. My place of residence provides good education, has ample job opportunities, has a well established transport system within the city, and has political stability as well as a strong healthcare system - all criteria that are within my top 5 list. (Livability Score: 70) One thing I would change at my place of residence would be to make public transportation to the suburbs more convenient. i.e. increase public transport interconnections between suburbs so passengers don’t only have to stop at the CBD in order to connect to a different train line. Given the option to move, I would likely either move back to Singapore, or to somewhere like Amsterdam or Germany. This is because they all consider my top 5 criteria for liveable cities high on their criteria list and are well implemented within their cities.
