My top-5 top livability criteria are: 1. Housing, 2. Economy, 3. Safety, 4. Environment, 5. Climate. I live in Mijdrecht and do live here: 1. Because I was raised in the neighborhood and my parents live nearby. 2. It is very central in the Netherlands, between cities like Amsterdam, Utrecht, but also secondary cities like Hoofddorp, Haarlem and Hilversum. 3. Nearby job opportunities, in Mijdrecht itself, but also in economic regions as Amsterdam, Airport Schiphol, Bloemenveiling Aalsmeer, Hoofddorp. 4. It is a nice place for the childeren to grow up. 5. I love the rural side of Mijdrecht, since I run and bike a lot, it is easy to recreate nearby with different itineraries. Provide livability score for your city: Housing 80, Economy 60; Safety 85; Environment 85; Climate 70; Overall 76. I would try to transform the industrial zone. Some parts are suited for mixed use, like small officeblocks and houses. Other parts need to be restructured for future use. If I would move it would be one of those three places: Heemstede(NL) Baarn(NL) Dubai(UAE), due to: Economy, Job Opportunities, Climate, International Connectivity and Recreation Possibilities.
