In the image displayed, two main landscapes can be seen, a natural one and a human-made one. The beach is one of the 4 beaches Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has in its city boundaries. If you focus your sight at the horizon, a commercial port can be seen. Although only a small portion of it can be seen, it is the 4th biggest port in Spain, located on a 1.560 km2 island. The harbour covered what were several other recreation beaches, and untouched naturals landscapes. It was necessary for us to get supplies from the 19th century onwards, and to enter the globalisation race.
