The 5 most important criteria for livability, to me, are: Education Environment Infrastructure Health Care Safety 2. I was born and brought up in Mumbai, India, but for the past 4 years I was living in Toronto, Canada. I was pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Architecture at the University of Toronto. I am now moving to London, England to pursue my Masters in Urban Design at University College London. One of the main reasons I lived in India was because of my family. This is where my grandparents and parents lived and they decided to bring me up in this country. In Mumbai I live in the central ward of Worli. This area is a posh neighbourhood, on the sea coast, with fresh air and a more clean environment as compared to the rest of the city. Crime rate in this area is also considerably lower than the suburbs. This area is also well connected to highways and is in close proximity to the international airport. The reasons as to why I live in Mumbai is: Financial Capital of India Well developed International city The top five reasons as to why I lived in India: Family Culture Religion Financial Capabilities Heritage After completing my post secondary education from India I realized that the quality of Education in this country is not very high. This is why I decided to move to Canada. The top five reasons as to why I moved to Toronto: Education Safety Health Care Job Opportunities International Exposure 3. Since I have lived in both Toronto and Mumbai for quite some while I would like to rate both their livabilities. Mumbai: Education: 40/100 Safety: 40/100 Infrastructure: 30/100 Health Care: 30/100 Environment: 20/100 General livability: 40/100 Toronto: Education: 80/100 Safety: 90/100 Infrastructure: 75/100 Health Care: 80/100 Environment: 90/100 General livability: 80/100 4. As a mayor the first thing I would do is implement a lot of effective public policies. It is due to the lack of policies and strict punishments that the citizens of this country suffer the effects of corruption. Due to corruption there is lack in quality infrastructure, education, recreation areas, health care, and environmental well-being. 5. Three places that I would move to: Toronto Vancouver London I picked these places because: Clean Environments Job Opportunities and chance to make a difference in the world Good health care systems Safe Good infrastructure
