The transport in Porto Alegre, as in most of Brazil, is almost exclusively done by cars (mostly running in gasoline, but also alcohol), buses and trucks (running totally on diesel). This factor, besides being the main direct CO2 emitter in the country, makes the cities and the economy very sensitive no any disturbance in fuel production and distribution, let that be his international cost value or problems in supply.
