Tokyo Osaka Melbourne Sydney Vienna I think that a habitable city has characteristics that invite life within buildings and social coexistence in urban space, maintaining order through mutual respect, citizen and government, and I list the best five characteristics below: collective consciousness Respect (order and punctuality) Security Sustainable transport Energy efficiency in architectural and urban spaces In comparison with my city Quito, I consider that we have to work much in the collective conscience, since all urban project begins by the empowerment of the people towards any proposal, if we have collective conscience will be born the respect for the neighbor, the public spaces, the laws, with it will be increased the cleanliness and the order as well as the punctuality that will reverberate in improvements for the production. If we respect everyone including the goods and lives of others we will begin to feel safe in the city. Hand in hand with these changes if we have a better collective infrastructure such as efficient and sustainable public transport, we may also wish to have sustainable and energy efficient urban and architectural spaces.
