Identified a temple in Udupi, Karnataka state of India to explain stocks and flow in an ancient temple of Lord Krishna. Let's consider three parameter. devotees, working staff & vendors and food supplies used inside the temple. The flow of devotees is not constant, the staff working in the temple and surrounding vendors are constant at the place for a duration of a time (say 10 to 30 years of span). The staff get retired new one add-up which is again a flow. The vendors are mostly locally people who lived in the region from decades. Due to globalization we could see there are lost of non-local vendors in the new market areas. The food supplies are 80% grown in the temple owned land located in the close vicinity of the temple. The food which is produced is used by the temple as offering to the Lord and devotees (as prasadam). All three fall under both stocks and flows to certain percentage.
