Usually, I commute my home and workplace by bus, which is the most affordable way. In our city, Yangon, Myanmar, people mostly rely on the public bus system called (Yangon Bus System) which covers all areas of the city. It’s about 5.8 km between my house and the work and it usually takes about 15-20 minute drive by public bus while going in normal hours. During rush hours, it could take up to 35-45 minutes. And taking the bus is the only way of transportation for me as city rail network doesn’t cover around that area. Sometimes, the city traffic is quite bad and so we usually have to delay reaching our workplaces. So, I wish I could take train as an alternative and the city authorities are planning to expand the rail networks as well. Overall, I would rate my daily route 5 out of 10 in terms of travel time and also happiness factor.
