Question 3. Strogino district score on top-5 livability criteria I have chosen (Economy, environment, infrastructure, job opportunities and sanitation standards) is 90/100. It is perfect in terms of economy, environment, infrastructure and sanitation standards. However, job opportunities there are not so bright. Practically all my neighbors work in other districts, as well as I do. Strogino is a typical residential area and job positions available here are in the service sector (managers, shop assistants, etc.) Campus of the business school I work in is situated outside Moscow. General livability criteria score would be lower – somewhere around 80. That would happen due to the lack of cultural and educational possibilities in the districts. However, I believe that it is not such a disadvantage. It is wise to place famous cultural and educational objects in the center of the city – such as Bolshoi Theatre, Tretyakov gallery and my university Higher School of Economics so that people from all districts could reach them. As for Strogino, I use this district to have rest with my family after a difficult labor and study day and I am happy that it is so calm and safe, and not buzzing with night life.
