I took this picture in the city of Lusail; currently being built and partially occupied. The photo shows residential and commercial buildings, as well as some street infrastructure (lights, paved roads, sidewalks) The invisible data we can extract from this photo includes the density of the area (by assessing the lightning on the buildings). But since Lusail is being designed as a smart city, the data collected by the central system includes energy management; utility monitoring; light control and intelligent traffic management. The benefits that the City plans to obtain from this smart city infrastructure is, among others, the reduction of carbon footprints as per Kyoto protocols signed by Qatar in 2012
