Uploaded on 2019-06-01 by Lars Orgus
My five favourity cities with regard to the highest quality of life are: 1. Konstanz / Germany 2. Luzern /Switzerland 3. Sydney / Australia 4. London / England 5. San Diego / United States characteristics that make a city liveable: 1. A unique old town 2. access to water, either a lake, ocean or river 3. embedded in a unique landscape 4. prospering street live 5. interesting architecture old and new Status of my home town Friedrichshafen: 1. Friedrichshafen (FN) has no old town, so city planners should attach more importance on high quality of architecture. 2. FN has direct access to the lake of constance which makes it very liveable with regard to leisure activities 3. FN is embedded in a very nice landscape at a lake opposit of the swiss mountains 4. The street live is not very prospering, due FN is a industrial town with no old town and less shopping opportunities. It could be improved by placing a university to FN to bring more young people to the city. 5. FN has now old architecture and less high quality new one. This offers great potential for improvement.
