Liveable city: (1) Vancouver, (2) Toronto, (3) New York, (4) Hong Kong, (5) Shanghai 5 top characters that makes liveable city: (1) Community base for citizens to build family (2) Strong economic growth for future expansion of city (3) Safety to promote well-ness (4) Sustainable, (5) Public Transportation for ease of travel My city is Toronto. I lived in the sub-urban area which the town of markham has a strong community base. This promotes a good environment to raise my family and hence, we enjoyed the community base support. Our city is a place of growth, with many new developments in the pipeline and will promote strong economic expansion. It is a fairly safe neighbourhood. The city also promotes many sustainable initiatives such as recycle program and make awareness to the public. The one area that can be improved is transportation. With the growth of the city, public transportation lacks convenience and hence, added pressure for the use of cars and in turn, creates congestion. This is a constant problem with many cities and at times, I wish we can better equipped to design our city to reduce congestion and create smooth flow of circulation within cities.
