EXERCISE 2 Answer to Question no 1: I have followed different cities in the link and observed that cities are hotter than its rural surroundings. It is a deep matter of concern that 80% of American population are in risk for increasing heat and urbanization effect of the hotter temperature. I specially observed that cities located near the water bodies, oceans have comparatively lower temperature than some of the rural areas located away from the water body. Answer to Question no 2: The city I live in is Guwahati. The climate of the city is Warm and Humid. The city is surrounded by hills, water bodies and enriched with the mighty river Brahmaputra flowing throughout the city. The city possesses a pleasant weather with neither too hot nor too cold weather. Winter is bearable and lowest temperature is around 9 to 10 degree Celsius with hot month of June, July not exceeding average temperature above 35 degree Celsius. The average annual temperature is 22.2 degree Celsius and with high rainfall around 1698 mm. Due to rapid urbanization the city is getting hotter day by day than its rural hinterlands.
