Unfortunately, I have not found data on the temperature difference between my city and the countryside, but I know there is a big difference. In the center of Uberlândia, my city, where we can observe tall buildings, intense traffic of automobiles and concentration of jobs, the demand for cooling is higher. Meanwhile, in the rural area around the city there is no urbanization, but vegetation, which contributes to the low temperature and shows the difference in temperature between rural and urban. I would encourage more sustainable modes of transport, such as walking, cycling and public transport - to reduce air pollution; create more parks and green areas - to ease the high temperatures; and increase the distances between buildings to avoid bouncing solar radiation on the facades. There are no policies to combat the rise in temperature in my city. I placed a image found online to illustrate the urban zone in Uberlândia, my city.
