1: Barcelona 2: Berlin 3: Brussel 4: Amsterdam 5: Singapore For me the following factors are crucial in order to make a city liveable: A good public transport network and safety for pedestrians and bikes, a healthy mix of nationalities and ethnicities in every neighborhood, no concentration of a particular group in certain neighborhoods. Inhabitants who are openminded and curious towards different cultures. A green network in the city which everyone has access too. Cost of living and possibility of renting/purchasing closeby your work and after work activities etc... I am currently living in Brussel and I think it is a very liveable city, the cost of living in Brussel is very reasonable and every neighborhood has a very interesting mix of nationalities, ethnicities and cultures which makes Brussel every day of the year a vibrant city full of culture relate activities. At the moment Brussel is working to make the public transport network better and making the roads safer for bicycles which I am very happy about. The big issue Brussel has to deal with is the enormous load of cars of people who come to work to the city but prefer to live on the outskirts.
