1. The Autonomous City of Buenos Aires has since the last few years some events that let the citizen participate and get involved in decision making. I will make reference to one aspect of it. The so-called "BA Elige" (BA Chooses) is an initiative that takes place once a year where citizens can upload a project regarding numerous topics: a) urban art, b) culture, c) quality of life and sports, d) education, e) fairs and markets, f) innovation, g) mobility and traffic, h) pets, i) parks, j) recycling, k) security. The process goes as follows. People submit their project. These projects will be available online to read people who haven't submit any project can back up the ones they like. Afterward, the local government will select the projects that meet the requirements. Finally, the projects that pass this instance will appear online for people to vote. The final projects in each category will be included in the budget law for next year.
