2. Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area? I live in Vancouver, Canada. Ozone air pollution is one of the main UHI effects that can be identified in my area. I believe use of many cars (and not public transportation) contribute to the UHI effect of the city. 3. Which are the measures you would propose? I advise people to take more public transportation, whenever possible. Maybe lowering price of public transportation or raising the price of public parking might help. 4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? There are not many programs going on in the city considering the UHI effect. This seems to be quite a new concept in Vancouver, Canada.
