• Step 1: List the five most liveable cities that you know, based on your own experience and judgment, placing the most liveable city at the top of the list. I live in Benghazi, Libya, but my list contains the cities I've visited. I assessed my list based on my impression during my residence in these cities, and the liveability factors. 1. Tokyo 2. London 3. Hanover 4. Malta 5. Larnaca • Step 2: Describe in your own words five characteristics that according to your opinion make a city liveable. Order them placing the most important at the top of the list. In my opinion, personal safety is the most important factor to live in any city, and this is achieved by a "culture of citizens within the city first, then political stability and law enforcement." Then the available jobs and opportunities for advancement in the work in the future. Public services and transportation in the third grade. Fourth health and medical considerations. And finally the entertainment services. • Step 3: Describe the status of your own city in terms of the five characteristics that you listed above. Propose how your city should/could be transformed in relation to these characteristics in order to be more sustainable. Benghazi is a city facing a war now, so I will evaluated before the war. Personal safety (30%). The work environment and the economic environment (10%). Public services and transportation (5%). Health and medical considerations (1%). Entertainment services (1%). Our problem starts from the culture of the citizens, and the lack of law enforcement, that's what we have to treat first, to rescue the city and make it a convenient place to live.
