1. Zurich 2. Munich 3. Edinburgh 4. Wellington 5. Barcelona All those selected cities were able to meet the high standards of liveability. However in order to archive this there are several factors to be considered. In my opinion the most important one would be stability. This includes the prevalence of violence and crimes. The infrastructure also is a valuable criteria. Is a city able to handle their traffic, water and electricity system? Are the buildings well build and sustainable. Another important point is education. This includes the availability and quality of schools. Culture and environment includes the climate, the offer of cultural programs, politics but also green areas. The last factor is healthcare which includes the availability and quality of both public and private hospitals. The city I live in (Konstanz) probably meets all of those criteria. This is the effect of both a big budget and the size .With only 80.000 inhabitants it’s rather easy to handle its business. Almost no violence, good healthcare, great infrastructure, as well as high standards of education due its excellent university. Because of its great location and political leadership with focus set on sustainability also the cultural situation is very good.
