Step 1: 1. Osaka, Japan 2. Calgary, Canada 3. Sydney, Australia 4. Copenhagen, Denmark 5. Oslo, Norway Step 2: 1. Cool temperature 2. Calm areas 3. Low pollution 4. Recycling 5. Resilience to survive a natural catastrophe Step 3: The climate is cool which by chance has to do with the fact that Denmark is in the temperate climate zone. This means that winter with prolonged frost and snow cover is the climate in most of the year, and the average temperature for the hottest month is 10˚C. Svendborg happens to be far away from the capital city with a population of about 50.000, which means the traffic follows and noise is rarely a problem. Pollution isn't a problem because every month garbage gets collected. Though since Svendborg happens to be a city near a harbor some minor changes can be done in order to improve the issue of pollution that is affecting the beach. Pollution and waste in the water have meant that it has become almost impossible for parents to take their children to the beach for fear that they might get sick. In addition, the city could be improved in terms of how to survive overflooding.
