This is a picture that was recently taken in Kensington, a borough of London. This area is experiencing new high density residential development. The building on the left hand side of the picture is a partially finished kindergarten. We can see many different materials employed for the walls construction: mainly cement blocks and bricks, as well as windows. The existing construction site is fenced temporary fencing panels made of galvanised steel, plastic covers and plywood/swan wood. Affordable plywood and sawn wood are commonly used in the construction sector in the UK for the durability of the material. Today, swan wood is one of the top most imported materials for the Construction sector in UK.
