The photo is of a well worked out network of roads in the city of Abu Dhabi which primarily follows a grid planning with the roadways as the main backbone of the city. Infrastructure serves as the main skeletal system of any well to do city and the roadway infrastructure is one of the most important of them. For any city to even be built in the first place, there should be the minimum requirement of access, and this access is duly fulfilled by roadways or its auxiliaries like bridges, tunnels etc. Roadways provide the source for easy movement of the inhabitants of the city, goods and materials from in and out of the city to name a few which are the main day to day major movements observed in any city.
