Dependency on infrastructure We are all dependent on not only the clean water network, but also a waste water network. The attached picture is of the sewerage works nearby to where I live. It was built in the 70’s or 80’s – and hopefully has enough capacity to meet the ever increasing demands of the new households in the area. There are many many new blocks of flats being build, and the pipe infrastructure has already partially been replaced. Roads in the local area were dug up recently, to put in bigger sewerage pipes down to the sewerage works. Such infrastructure issues must be considered before further expanding urban areas!
