This image shows the dependency of road transportation and motor vehicles in the peri-urban areas of Sriperumbudur near Chennai. Seen here are motorbikes parked infront of all the houses. They are the major transit vehicle for the intra-city as well inter-city travel in the area. Also, looking at the road condition, one can infer that no matter what it still remains the main transportation spine. This kind of pot-holed road is a common sight in this area, causing accidents on a daily basis.
