This is a photo of the Corniche - the waterfront development in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Corniche is a 14 km long recreational area that is frequently accessed by a majority of the inhabitants of the city on a daily basis for jogging, cycling, exercising or just relaxing. People of various age groups ranging from kids who play around to young adults who cycle/exercise to the elderly who walk/jog/relax can be found on the Corniche. The invisible information that can be made visible is quite abstract as it has to do with the human emotion and cannot be quantified. The Corniche plays a huge role in providing a 'green and open' environment in a city that was basically once a desert. So on one hand it goes to show how careful and people centric planning can go miles forward in making the impossible possible (desert to green spaces) and on another it is the go to place for the inhabitants of the city after a day's routine activity for a breath of fresh air. The knowledge thus obtained could prove to be vital in designing green spaces in future urban cities.
